This CNC milled heated bed is designed to replace the stock heated bed.

The heated bed has been modified from the original FT-6 stock bed.

Features include:

• To provide the needed rigidity and flatness the heated bed plate is milled from cast aluminum tool plate.
• Features 5 new screw holes outside the printing area.  2 holes along the left edge and 3 on the top edge.  When screws are inserted they can be used to ensure proper bed/print surface alignment each and every time. 
• Has stock mounting holes.  Means that this product is compatible with all stock bed platforms and the 713Maker full metal bed platform (sold here).
• Recessed mounting holes allow for a larger print surface (glass, flex sheet, etc) to be used without interfering with the mounting hardware. 

While this bed is made out of tool plate aluminum, due to the shear size of the bed and the relative thin materials used (6.35mm), a bed of this style, size, and shape, is not able to hold our normal strict flatness standard. 

Typically we strive for a 0.1mm tolerance across the length of a heated bed, however we cannot honor that tolerance for this product, given its shear size and weight.  However you will notice that this bed has many other positive aspects over the stock bed due to it being made of cast toolplate aluminum and its increased thickness.  The thick cast aluminum allows for a more uniform thermal expansion, is a significant improvement in flatness, and is less prone to warping with repeated thermal cycles when compared to the stock heated bed.

We take great care to provide the highest quality milled aluminum heated beds, but minor tooling marks or superficial surface marks may be present from time to time. We always strive to be sure the build surface is free of defects that will affect printing. To prolong the life of your bed, the urge you to never print directly on the aluminum surface to avoid damaging the bed surface and affect print quality.

Installation note for those that chose to use this heated bed with stick on magnetic base/flex sheet:

Most magnetic sticker bases will fully cover the top surface of the heated bed and prevent access to the recessed screws used to perform bed adjustments.  To allow bed adjustments, on the underside of the bed, we recommend that you place a washer and nut (not included) on each screw, prior to installing your magnetic sticker.  The additional washer and nut will hold each adjustment screw captive so that you do not need access to the screw head to make bed adjustments. This also removes the need to measure and cut any holes into the magnetic sticker to gain access to the screw heads.
