This part is made out of high strength 7075 T6 aluminum and is designed for the ZL/T series of the RailCore II printers with a focus on weight reduction and strength.

This part weighs approximately 33g with the belt clips installed and 21g without them.  We know that every gram counts on the moving parts of a core XY printer and we found that we could make our parts even lighter and stronger by switching from 6061 to 7075 aluminum.  With that mind, we have taken this extra step with our 7075 series of parts, to further enhance the performance of your printer.

This part has been optimized to work seamlessly with the Hemera mount, sold separately here, but it is also fully compatible with all stock parts by having the same mounting points.  It is also fully compatible with all Y plates (3D printed or metal) and has been optimized for lightness and strength with a slightly slimmer profile and height than the open source part found here.

This part comes with 4 belt retainer clips that each have M3 form tapped holes.  These clips are designed with a recessed conical pocket that holds the screw head tightly and the bottom of the screw thread fits into a form tapped hole in the bottom of the belt clip. This unique design holds both the top and the bottom of the screw placing it into double shear to minimize any screw and belt movement.  The belt retaining screw is installed and milled in place and therefore it sits perfectly flush with the bottom of the belt clip, so there is no chance of the screw dragging within the belt clip channel.

This part has been extensively modified from the open source design for lightness and strength and comes fully assembled.
