Our bed platform has been designed to replace part number FT16.

This piece has been re-designed from the original melamine for stiffness and to reduce the overall weight of the metal platform.  

New features include:

• The linear guide and lead screw mounting holes are now M3 tapped. 
• Lead screw nut mounting holes have a standard 4 bolt, 16mm spacing pattern, that allows the use of the stock FT-5 lead screw nuts or most anti-backlash (16mm screw pattern) nuts. 
• For a clean build we include 24 M3 screws for mounting the lead screw nuts and linear bearing assemblies, that are correctly sized to not protrude below the surface of the bed.
• Two added M3 tapped holes, one on each side, to allow for the addition of thumb screws (not included) used to fine tune your Z height easily and more accurately.

Please note, we do not include anti-backlash nuts. 

Compatible with both the R1 and R2 versions of the FT-5.

NOTE: As of 9/22/18 our bed platforms are compatible with the Folger Tech heated bed recessed mounting holes.

However, we can only guarantee 100% full compatibility with our (713maker) Mic 6 heated beds.

Due to the size of these pieces, anodizing them would be quite costly; therefore we only offer the pieces of this kit in the shiny (non-anodized) finish, which may show minor tooling marks.

Since these pieces have been extensively modified from the original melamine pieces and have tighter tolerances built in, we highly recommend buying the whole drive train kit (Bed platform, Upper plates, and Single drive Z base plates) for best performance.
